[영문] Different circumstances lead to large differences in efficiency of pig production. Both
sow performance(MSY) and feed efficiency(OFCR) data in the graph come from
InterPIG, a forum of pig production economists. We see that the Netherlands has
an MSY of about 29, Denmark 31 and BR 27. In South Korea this amounts to 17
(based on national statistics) and in China about 15. The feed efficiency of the entire
pig production (farrow-finish) amounts to 2.7 in the Netherlands and Denmark, and
even as low as 2.54 in Brazil (Santa Catarina) and to about 4.0 in South Korea.

for improvement.
