2024-10: Plant Export Operations ? Change to RFP requirements for protocol
horticulture consignments to New Zealand

Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise industry of upcoming changes
to Request for Permit (RFP) requirements for exports to New Zealand using
the Export Plan for Fresh Produce from Australia to New Zealand (Export
Plan).
Summary of changes and key points
On 2 August 2023 we notified stakeholders of changes to sampling rate
requirements in IAN 2023-48.
EXDOC has been updated to support this change to the Export Plan.
From 11 March 2024, the grower line declaration is no longer required to be
entered in RFPs.
Background
The Export Plan sets out the operational requirements for the export of fruit
fly host commodities to New Zealand.
Previously stakeholders were required to add the following declaration to New
Zealand RFPs:
“The produce covered by this permit has been inspected on a grower line
