VETERINARY CERTIFICATE
I, the under signed, official verterinarian, a veterinarian authorised thereto by the controlling
veterinary authority of National Veterinary Research and Quarantine Service. Republic of
Korea hereby certify that the milk or milksed products mentioned on the overleaf and
stipulated below:
1. Was produced from either(tick as appropriate) :
X 1.1. milk or milkproducts, derived from animals kept in herds in the country mentioned
on the overleaf (the exporting country who must give certification for the product)
which were not under restrictions due to foot-and-mouth disease or rinderpest
or
1.2. milk or milkproducts, legally imported into the country, from facilities in the European
Community registered for trade within the Community (complying with all the relevant
European Community Directives) or Norway, which were not under restrictions due to
foot-and-mouth disease or rinderpest
or
1.3. milk or milkproducts,legally imported into the exporting country, from one or more
of the following countries: New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, United States of
America and Canada
2. Was processed at an officially approved manufacturing plant and subjected to one of the
following processes before being introduced onto South African territory:
Either (tick as appropriate):
X 2.1. In the case of milk or milkproducts originating from areas where no outbreak of
footmouth disease has occurred within the last 12 months and where vaccination
against footdisease have not been carried out in the last 12 months:
2.1.1 ultra high temperature treatment at 132¡É for 1 second, and/or
2.1.2 pasteurised at 72¡É for 15 seconds or 60¡É for 30 minutes, and/or
2.1.3 heat sterilised for 30 minutes at a pressure of 15 lbs (100 kPa); and/or
2.1.4 an acidification process such that the pH value is lowered and kept below 6
for at least one hour.
or
2.2. In the case of milk or milkproducts originating from areas where an outbreak of
footmouth disease has occurred within the last 12 months or which have carried out
vaccination against footdisease in the last 12 months:
2.2.1 ultra high temperature treatment at 132¡É for 1 second, and/or
