The department has identified the following apiaceous genera and species to be hosts of
Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum:
Anthriscus spp.
Daucus spp. and
Heracleum minimum.
Therefore, all permitted species of the above genera have been moved from the ‘Xylella
fastidiosa host for use as nursery stock’ BICON case, and will now be subject to the
import conditions specified within the ‘Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum hosts for use
as nursery stock’BICON case.
This amendment was put in place to ensure that all host species are being consistently
regulated for the range of quarantine pests associated with imported propagative material.
The following species have been removed from the BICON case ‘Xylella fastidiosa hosts
for use as nursery stock’following a review of species listings in BICON:
Allium ceratophyllum
Allium victorialis
Alyssum cuneifolium
Erica scabriuscula
Euphorbia schlechtendalii
Geranium papilionaceum
Lotus torulosus
Panax sessiliflorus
No other changes have been made to import conditions for bulbs to 'Xylella fastidiosa
hosts for use as nursery stock'.
Import permits that list these species will be varied where applicable. Affected permit
