[영문] In our analysis we found some explanation for health costs per piglet in farm factors.
PSY is related, which is logic, given the fact that more pigs produced per sow, dilute
health costs. The share of hired labourshows some relationship; this is highly
correlated to farm size. Jointly they seem to be related to health costs, as larger
farms are known to vaccinate more for sales reasons. Most Dutch farms separate
the piglet production from the growing-finishing, and piglets are being sold, and
partly exported to e.g. Germany. We assume that on larger farms the health costs
are higher as a kind of insurance fee, intentionally managed by the farmer/owner,
in order to prevent other problems. But this couldn’t be supported from the data.
[국문] 농장 요인들에서 자돈 마리당 방역 비용 차이가 나는 것에는 몇 가지 이유가 있습니다. PSY와
관련, 모돈 한 마리당 생산하는 자돈 두수가 많아지면 방역 비용이 감소합니다. 고용 노동자의
비율이 관계가 있으며, 농장 규모와 높은 상관관계가 있습니다. 대형 농장일수록 판매를 위해
예방접종을 더 많이 하는 것으로 알려져 있고 방역비용과 관련이 있는 것으로 보입니다.
네덜란드 대부분농장은 육성돈에서 도축 전까지 자돈을 분리하여 사육하며 자돈은 판매도 하고,
일부는 독일 등에 수출도 하고 있습니다. 대규모 농장 방역 비용은 일종의 보험료만큼 많이
소요되고, 여러 문제점 예방을 위해 농가나 소유주가 관심을 가지고 관리하고 있다고
추정합니다. 다만 이 자료에서는 없습니다.
