Effective from 16 February 2022
Due to inactivity (no recent trade), import conditions for Vitis spp. seed for sowing
has been suspended.
This pathway will require a review of import conditions against associated biosecurity
risks. A review of import conditions may be conducted by the department upon
request, subject to resource availability.
Import conditions for Vitis nursery stock (tissue cultures or dormant cuttings) remain
available in BICON.
Fresh pomelo, tangelo, tangor and grapefruit/pomelo hybrids for human
consumption
Effective from 26 January 2022
Citrus paradisi x Citrus maxima hybrids have been added to the list of approved
hybrids of pomelo, tangelo, tangor and grapefruit/pomelo grown in the USA.

This notice affects importers of fresh pomelo, tangelo, tangor and grapefruit/pomelo
hybrids for human consumption grown in the USA, brokers and Cargo Operations
Pathway.
