8. 미국에서는 노르웨이 무스와 순록 유래 CWD 프리온 2개 시료씩 총 4개 시료를
2종의 형질전환 마우스(Tg Q226 및 Tg E226) 및 유전자적중 마우스(Gt deer 및 Gt
elk)에 10마리씩 총 80마리를 접종하였다. 접종결과 노르웨이 무스 및 순록은 기
존의 미국 사슴류와는 다른 생존율이 관찰되었으며, 웨스턴 블로팅 이동밴드 패턴
도 다르게 확인 되었다. conformational stability도 다른 것으로 확인되어 노르웨
이 무스의 CWD는 북미 무스의 CWD와 다른 것으로 추정 되었다
